Our vest is designed to contour to your body. It needs to sit really snugly against you - no gaps - so that the weights sit close to your body and do not move when you walk. With just a central zip and stretch material there are no straps to cinch in.
Feedback suggests the sizing runs small, so you may wish to size up if you are borderline but please measure as follows:
Please use a soft sewing tape measure (or string and retractable tape measure) and measure all 3 points below. Getting a combination of measurements below is the best guide to the right fit for you. Then use the Size Guide below.
WAIST: this is probably the most important measurement as the weights sit here too. Even if you normally wear UK8 but your waist falls within our S or M range we suggest you follow our sizing.
RIBCAGE: measure a close fit around your ribcage, directly under your bust.
SHOULDERS: have someone measure you across the back between bony bumps at the very edge of each shoulder (where arm bones meets shoulder blade) across the curve of your back.
It's vital to take into account all measurements as if you have e.g. a small waist but broader shoulders or petite frame but carry weight above the hips then the next size up may be a better fit. There is some give in the fabric for the bust and belly but if you are borderline on the numbers below and you have a bigger bust or you tend to carry weight above the hips, you may need to size up.

We recommend wearing only a thin base layer, vest top, t-shirt or sports bra underneath. If you want to wear another layer like a coat, we advise wearing this over your vest not underneath it so you can wear the vest in summer or when working hard without getting too hot.

TALLER WOMEN
Our sizes get slightly longer as they go up. Currently we offer Small (UK10) in both a standard and a longer version:
- 5'7" and taller: choose the S (Long) for a gilet-length fit, or the standard S for a shorter, more cropped fitness look.
- Under 5'7" (or 5'7" with shorter torso): we recommend the standard S to ensure the weights sit above the hips.
